As a welcome to the United Kingdom by Rotary, 91 International University Scholars visiting from 24 countries were each presented with a Rotary Emblem Umbrella.

As a welcome to the United Kingdom by Rotary, 91 International University Scholars visiting from 24 countries in 2007 were each presented with a Rotary Emblem Umbrella.

The Rotary Emblem Umbrella was introduced to support the Rotary International Goal to “Enhance the Public Image of Rotary”. Now it can also help in the campaign to eradicate Polio.

The sale of the Rotary Emblem Umbrella, with its colourful Rotary International symbol, provides a chance to raise awareness of Rotary and to raise funds for the “End Polio Now Campaign”. All profits from each umbrella sold will be donated to the campaign fund.

The Salisbury Rotary Club Prize Draw

Salisbury Rotary Club took up the challenge with an imaginative idea to enter United Kingdom Rotarians into a Prize Draw when buying a Rotary Emblem Umbrella, thereby raising funds for the Rotary “End Polio Now Campaign” and helping to raise the profile of the Rotary emblem.

Rotarian Graham Parker, a member of Salisbury Rotary Club and Managing Director of Rembrella Ltd., agreed that all the profit from the umbrella sales would go to Salisbury Rotary Club for onward donation to the “End Polio Now Campaign”. The sale of Rotary Emblem Umbrellas was made through the Rembrella Ltd. website.
